Trump and Bazshkyan Signed Side by Side on a Historical Document

Khaberni - The signatures of American President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Bazshkyan appeared side by side on the English and Persian versions of the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran regarding the end of the war.
In an unprecedented diplomatic move, the first official joint document between Tehran and Washington was unveiled to the public for the first time since the nuclear agreement over a decade ago.
Under the name "Islamabad Understanding," this document aims to establish a new path aimed at ending the war permanently between the two countries.

Contrary to what was planned to be a physical signing in Switzerland with mediators, the memorandum was signed electronically from a distance.

Given the pivotal role played by Pakistan as a mediator in this diplomatic process, the Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also sign the text of the memorandum.

Ismail Baqai, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, announced during a television appearance on the morning of Thursday, June 18, that "the text of the memorandum of understanding was signed in both Persian and English". President Trump confirmed the news from France, where he told reporters early this morning saying, "I just signed it."

In contrast, the silence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dominated the scene, amid a state of raging anger among his allies, following Trump's announcement of signing the memorandum, at a time when Israeli circles warned that this move represents "a strategic disaster for Israel".
