Khaberni - The United Nations Security Council will hold a public session late on Thursday concerning the humanitarian situation in Gaza under the item titled "The Situation in the Middle East, including the Palestine Question".
The ten non-permanent members of the Council have requested this meeting to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and four of the five permanent member states of the Council, namely China, France, Russia, and the United Kingdom, have supported the request for the meeting.
The briefing is scheduled to be presented by the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher.
