Khaberni - The UAE authorities thwarted a drug promotion plot within the country led by a network that includes 23 suspects, among them two Jordanians, while the main suspect who manages the criminal activity still resides outside the state. The competent authorities also seized large quantities of narcotic substances and psychotropic substances.
According to the UAE News Agency, the case started after receiving information about the presence of drugs hidden in a geographic location in one of the Emirates of the state, prompting the specialized teams to start search and investigation operations. After obtaining the legal permits, a security ambush was executed, resulting in the arrest of two individuals while attempting to transport a quantity of drugs.
Investigations revealed that the network members were receiving promotion instructions from a main suspect residing outside the UAE and managing the criminal activity, leading to the arrest of 11 suspects linked to him, before subsequent inspection operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman led to the apprehension of 10 additional suspects, and the seizure of various quantities of narcotic substances and psychotropic substances.
The security devices also discovered another location for storing drugs containing large quantities of marijuana, hashish oil, and “spice” drug sheets.
A team from the Federal Narcotics Prosecution was formed to initiate investigations and take necessary legal actions, while the suspects and seized items were referred to the competent forensic laboratory.
The competent authorities confirmed that this operation reflects the level of readiness and coordination between the Public Prosecution and the security devices in combating organized criminal networks.
The website "Khaberni" apologizes for not publishing the names and pictures of the Jordanian suspects.
