Khaberni - Rusaifa Municipality has called on the residents of Rusaifa Liwa to adhere to disposing of the waste in designated places, and not to throw it randomly due to its negative effects on public health and the civilized appearance of the city, stemming from the shared responsibility to maintain a clean and healthy environment befitting the city of Rusaifa and its people.
The Rusaifa Municipality confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that it is making its utmost effort to provide the best possible level of cleaning services within the available resources, but the success of these efforts depends on the cooperation of the citizens and their commitment to maintaining public cleanliness, making everyone partners in building a healthy and safe environment.
The municipality affirmed in its statement that in cases of gaps or spread in the locations of some containers within neighborhoods and various areas, it is crucial not to resort to random throwing, noting that the municipality should be provided with any observations about locations that need additional containers to be dealt with according to the available priorities.
It pointed out that it has floated a tender to purchase about 400 new containers, aiming to supply areas suffering from a lack of containers and replace damaged containers at various sites, which contributes to improving the level of service and enhancing public cleanliness throughout the city.
In the context of enhancing the cleanliness system, the municipality has worked during the past period on rehabilitating a number of large vehicles and returning them to field service after they had been out of operation, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of cleaning operations, speeding up the processes of collecting and transporting waste, and enhancing the effectiveness of field teams and their spread across different areas of the city.
