Khaberni - The Public Authority for Food and Drug announced the brand names of the non-conforming Jameed samples, confirming that their source is some neighboring countries and not from local factories or laboratories.
The authority indicates that the samples that failed are of foreign production and entered the kingdom through improper channels.
The brand names of the non-conforming samples are:
Jameed Al-Muhannad
Jameed Marooj Al-Sham
Jameed Al-Andalus
Jameed Al-Amirah
Jameed Al-Amir
Unbranded ground Jameed
The authority recently announced that as part of the early monitoring plan and precautionary measures specific to the dairy season, inspection and regulatory teams withdrew more than 100 Jameed samples from the markets for laboratory testing.
The test results showed 6 samples not conforming to the approved specifications and requirements, which prompted the necessary regulatory actions to ensure the protection of consumer health and the safety of food circulating in the markets.
The authority urges citizens not to purchase food from unknown sources and to ensure they have the approval of the Public Authority for Food and Drug accordingly.
