Khaberni - The Saudi team achieved an exciting draw against its Uruguayan counterpart, within the matches of Group 8 of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The match, which took place early Tuesday by the Arab region timing, ended with a 1-1 draw.
The Saudis took the lead through Abdul-Ilah Al-Omari (41'), and in the second half, Maximiliano Arujo equalized for Uruguay (80').
Earlier, Cape Verde and Spain drew in the opening matches of the group with a score of 1-1.
With these results, each team now has one point.
Fourth Arab Draw
This is the fourth draw for the Arab teams following the draw of Qatar and Switzerland (1-1), Morocco and Brazil (1-1), and Egypt and Belgium (1-1), while the only negative result was for Tunisia which lost (5-1) against Sweden.
