Khaberni - Hussam Badran, a member of the political bureau for Hamas and member of the negotiations delegation, said "the meetings of the Palestinian forces and factions currently held in the Egyptian capital Cairo, are proceeding in a positive and constructive manner," indicating the presence of consensus on a unified national stance regarding the roadmap offered for implementing the second phase of President Donald Trump's plan.
Badran added in a statement today, Thursday: "We also continue our meetings with the mediators in a positive and responsible spirit, aiming to make the current round successful and to protect our Palestinian people, and to thwart the goals and schemes of the occupation."
The member of the political bureau for Hamas considered that this round has achieved real progress that can be built upon, calling for "forcing the criminal Zionist occupation to stop the violations and crimes in Gaza, and to fully commit to its obligations."
The Palestinian negotiations are taking place while the daily breaches by the Israeli military of the ceasefire in effect since October 10, 2025, continue, resulting in the martyrdom of 981 Palestinians and injuring another 3,111, according to data from the Health Ministry in Gaza.
