Hamas accuses the authority of exchanging roles with the occupation in pursuing the resistance fighters

Khaberni - The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) accused the Palestinian Authority's agencies of continuing the security coordination with the Israeli occupation, describing it as a "blatant case of identification and role exchange" targeting the pursuit of resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank and thwarting the resistance work.

The movement stated in a press release today, Thursday, that the Israeli forces' arrest of Palestinian fugitives immediately after their release from the authority's prisons reflects direct coordination between the two sides, adding that these practices represent "shameful and unpatriotic behavior" that contradicts the aspirations of the Palestinian people amidst escalating aggression.

Hamas warned of the dangers of continuing this approach, noting that it comes at a time when the West Bank is experiencing increasing attacks from the occupation forces and settler groups, which necessitates a unified national stance to end the pursuit of resistance fighters, according to the statement.

A stain of disgrace
The movement viewed the occupation's arrest of dozens of resistance fighters following their release from the authority's prisons as a "stain of disgrace" and a "stab in the back of the Palestinian people," along with what it described as an ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing war.

Hamas called on the authority and its security agencies to immediately stop arresting resistance fighters and wanted individuals, to release all political detainees, and to end what it described as the "farce of security coordination," urging alignment with the Palestinian street and its resistance in confronting the occupation.

The movement also called on various Palestinian forces and currents to adopt a national united stance rejecting security coordination, and to exert pressure to stop the practices of the security agencies and to provide protection for resistance fighters in the West Bank.

In a related context, local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested, on Wednesday, the freed prisoner Musab Qawzah just two days after his release from the authority's prisons. Qawzah had been freed as part of the "Torrent of the Free" deal, and then was briefly detained by the authority shortly after his release.

In a similar incident, the occupation forces - on March 25th - arrested the young man Sarra Redad from his home in the town of Saida north of Tulkarm, merely hours after his release from the prison of the Palestinian Authority.
