Khaberni - The Jordan River Foundation and Fajr Natural Gas Company signed a cooperation agreement that aims to support the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Community Empowerment in Aqaba Governorate to connect the capabilities of youth, women, and local associations with developmental needs, and promising economic and environmental opportunities in the region, thus enhancing community programs and instilling concepts of family protection, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. The agreement was signed by the foundation’s General Manager Enam Al-Barishi and the company’s CEO Engineer Yasser Salah El Din.
Under the agreement, Fajr company will contribute to sustaining the operation of the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Community Empowerment, empowering approximately 2,800 beneficiaries through quality activities that integrate family protection and economic empowerment, ensuring a holistic impact and transforming social challenges and unemployment into entrepreneurial opportunities that enhance the sense of belonging and sustainable community security in the region.
Commenting on this, the General Manager of the Jordan River Foundation, Enam Al-Barishi, appreciated the partnership with Fajr Natural Gas Company, pointing to the importance of sustaining cooperation between various sectors to enhance the capability of developmental institutions to provide and innovate solutions and implement programs to overcome economic and social challenges, especially violence against children and economically empowering women. This will enhance societal belonging, and is a living example of what can be built when wills meet around a common humanitarian goal.
In turn, Engineer Yasser Salah El Din affirmed that this partnership reflects the company’s commitment to its developmental role and social responsibility, starting from a strong belief in the importance of investing in human capital and empowering local communities. He added: "We take pride in cooperating with the Jordan River Foundation in supporting initiatives that empower youth, women, and children, and contribute to creating sustainable developmental opportunities in Aqaba Governorate and the southern regions.
