Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority Internal Monitoring Unit reported that it continued its campaign on the Desert Road in the Qatraneh area, accompanied by the Aqaba Water Company and the Public Security Directorate / Qatraneh Security Center yesterday Tuesday to remove repeated encroachments on main lines supplying drinking water. These lines were being used to supply sprinklers for washing cars and trucks passing through the main Desert Road from Amman to Aqaba. Tanks, sprinklers, and encroachments on water lines along the road were detected and removed.
In detail, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation / the Water Authority stated that as part of the ongoing efforts to control water resources across the Kingdom, technical teams began removing these encroachments, involving pulling lines of various diameters, disconnecting the lines, and preparing reports on the incident to take legal actions accordingly.
