Khaberni - Stemming from its belief that the joy of Eid is complete when shared with others, Umniah, a Beyon company ranked as the best mobile network in Jordan, launched an internal humanitarian initiative titled "The Joy of Eid Begins With Us – Eid Joy Boxes", coinciding with the advent of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, aiming to bring joy to the hearts of orphaned children and promote the values of giving and solidarity among the company’s employees and their families.
This initiative is part of Umniah's commitment to instilling a culture of volunteering and community engagement, by involving employees and their children in preparing special gift boxes for the children, reflecting the spirit of Eid based on love, sharing, and a sense of belonging, and giving the initiative a humane dimension that moves beyond traditional donation concepts to creating a direct emotional impact on the benefiting children.
The volunteer employees participated in preparing the "Eid Joy Boxes" which included toys, sweets, books, and coloring tools, along with greeting cards and messages written with spontaneity and love, bearing sincere words aiming to share the joy of Eid with the children and making them feel cared for and looked after. The initiative also encouraged employees to involve their children in preparing the gifts and cards, thereby fostering values of empathy, giving, and community responsibility among the younger generations.
Umniah's Executive Director for Brand and Corporate Communications, Dina Dawood, stated: "Eid Al-Adha is a humanitarian occasion that embodies the values of love and solidarity, and she affirmed that the initiative came to translate these values into simple steps that leave a real impact on the children's spirits."
Dawood added that Umniah is keen on launching community initiatives that enhance the culture of volunteering and build direct human connections with different community segments, especially children, noting that some simple details, such as a gift or a card written by a child's hand, are capable of creating unforgettable moments and cementing feelings of care and belonging.
The initiative concluded with a field visit organized by the company's team and a group of volunteers from Umniah Youth Unit to Al-Hussein Social Institution, which cares for orphans, where a special event for the children was held including the distribution of Eid Joy Boxes and gifts and sharing the Eid atmosphere with the children, in a step that reflected Umniah's commitment to continuing its community role and enhancing its humanitarian presence through initiatives that leave a real and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and the community.
