Khaberni - On Saturday, the assistants to the general director of the Jordanian Customs inspected the first groups of pilgrims arriving from Saudi Arabia through the customs centers of Madura and Omari, to check the readiness of the border centers and the level of preparations and measures taken to receive the pilgrims and facilitate their movement with ease and simplicity.
The assistant general director of the Jordanian Customs, Brigadier Mo'nes Khleifat, during a tour at the Madura Customs Center, emphasized the Jordanian Customs' commitment to providing the best services to the pilgrims by enhancing the customs staff and increasing the operational readiness inside the border centers, which contributes to speeding up the customs procedures and facilitating the entry and transit movement, in line with the royal directives aimed at providing care and service to citizens and travelers.
Khleifat inspected the field work reality and the mechanism of coordination between various agencies operating within the border centers, praising the efforts of customs formations and relevant devices in the professional and humane handling of the pilgrims, and providing help and guidance to them around the clock.
The assistant general director of the Jordanian Customs, Brigadier Raed Al-Shiab, also inspected the customs procedures at the Omari Customs Center, and reviewed the readiness of the staff and the working mechanisms followed to receive the pilgrims passing through the center.
Al-Shiab emphasized the importance of providing all necessary facilitations and speeding up the completion of transactions to ensure smooth movement and comfort for the pilgrims, and stressed the need to continue coordination between various agencies operating within the center to provide the best services for the pilgrims, reflecting a positive image of the Jordanian Customs.
He mentioned that the Customs Department has taken a number of regulatory and technical measures to ensure smooth movement during the Hajj season and dealing with the expected increase in the number of arrivals, achieving the highest levels of efficiency and comfort for the pilgrims during their return.
The pilgrims appreciated the good reception, speed of procedures, and the services provided to them at the border centers.
They expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the Jordanian Customs staff and all related devices working to serve them and facilitate their journey.
