Khaberni - The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a motorcycle rider who appeared in a widely circulated video performing stunts. However, what fueled anger further was his obscene gestures toward someone trying to film him.
The individual's actions angered Egyptians due to his obscene gesture towards the person attempting to document the incident; and his disregard for the lives of those around him, speeding and performing dangerous stunts.
The Ministry of Interior mentioned in a post on its Facebook page on Friday that "in the context of investigating a video clip.. showing a motorcycle rider performing stunts while traveling on a road in Qalyubia,” legal actions were taken against him.
The Ministry further clarified that they investigated the incident, managed to identify and seize the motorcycle shown in the video, and discovered that it had no license plates. The rider was arrested at the time of the incident and is unemployed, residing in the jurisdiction of the Tukh police station in Qalyubia governorate.
Upon confrontation, he confessed to committing the act with the intention of having fun and showing off. The motorcycle was confiscated, and legal actions were taken against him.
