Khaberni - Starting Sunday, visitors to the clinics at Prince Hamzah Hospital will benefit from the decision of Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Badour, ordering the reorganization of distributing the visitors over the working hours of the outpatient clinics, as part of a new mechanism aimed at reducing congestion and improving the flow of service and accelerating patient access to medical care calmly and without overcrowding.
This measure follows the minister's visit to the hospital about two weeks ago, during which he noticed during his tour that the patients were getting appointment times only within the first three morning hours, in addition to the presence of large numbers arriving before their scheduled times, causing congestion within the clinics.
As a result, there was a directive to reorganize the distribution of patients across the clinic working hours, starting the clinics actually receiving patients from 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM, instead of stacking appointments during the morning hours, ensuring a more fluid and organized distribution of visitors throughout the day.
The directive also includes sending SMS messages to patients' phones containing their specific arrival times, with an emphasis on the necessity of arriving on time and not coming before the consultation time mentioned in the message, to alleviate congestion and improve the patients' experience inside the hospital.
The measures also include providing a hotline number (0785514638) for communication and inquiries in case the text messages do not arrive or there are any observations related to the appointments.
According to the new system, text messages have indeed been sent to the clinic visitors scheduled for Sunday, with others to be sent for the remaining days sequentially throughout the week, in preparation for the implementation of the new mechanism starting Sunday morning.
The first phase included clinics for orthopedics, endocrinology, urology, medical rehabilitation, internal medicine, rheumatology, ophthalmology, and breast surgery, with the experience to be evaluated later in preparation for expanding it to include additional specialties, reflecting on improving service quality and reducing congestion within the hospital.
Prince Hamzah Hospital urges citizens to adhere to their appointment times and not to arrive before the specified time, confirming that patient registration will be done according to the appointment set for each visitor.
