Minister of Environment The phrases shame on you and inappropriate were intended

Khaberni - Minister of Environment Ayman Sulaiman defended the use of sharp phrases in the ministry's recent posts, confirming that phrases such as "shame on you" and "inappropriate.. the street is not a trash bin" were intentional and directed at those who engage in random waste disposal behavior.

Sulaiman said that traditional communication is no longer capable of reaching the target groups, pointing out that the ministry aimed to draw attention to the waste problem, which has become a national issue affecting public behavior and protecting public money.

He revealed that the cost of waste management in Jordan amounts to about 230 million Jordanian dinars annually, pointing out the implementation of 1012 cleaning campaigns during the first six months of the government cleanliness strategy's executive program, with the participation of 42,000 volunteers, resulting in the collection of 345,000 tons of waste.

He also mentioned that 53,000 environmental violations have been recorded since the launch of the program, confirming that the enforcement of the law aims to protect the general scene, enhance civil behavior, and preserve the environment.
