Khaberni - Apartment sales in Jordan during the past April recorded a 37% increase compared to the previous month of March, at a time when data from the Department of Lands and Survey showed a decrease in the number of apartments sold during the first third of the current year compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, which was monitored by "Al-Mamlaka," the number of apartments sold in the kingdom during the first third of the current year was about 9,935 apartments, compared to 10,751 apartments during the same period of 2025, a decrease of 8%.
The number of apartments sold during the past month of April was 2,863 apartments, compared to 2,915 apartments during April 2025, a decrease of 2%, while apartment sales increased by 37% compared to the previous month.
The report indicated that the total real estate sales in the kingdom during the first third of the current year reached 39,672 properties, including 9,935 apartments, compared to 44,799 properties during the same period last year, including 10,751 apartments, with a total decrease of 11%.
The total real estate sales during the past April was about 11,727 properties, including 2,863 apartments, compared to 12,057 properties during April 2025, including 2,915 apartments, a total decrease of 3%.
Data from the Department of Lands and Survey showed that apartment sales accounted for 34.99% of the total real estate transactions during the first third of 2026, compared to 65.1% for lands.
As for the area of the apartments sold, sales of apartments ranging between 120 and 150 square meters increased by 3% during the first third of the current year, reaching 2,843 apartments compared to 2,772 apartments during the same period of 2025.
On the other hand, sales of apartments with an area of less than 120 square meters decreased by 5%, recording 2,984 apartments compared to 3,140 apartments during the same period last year. Also, sales of apartments with an area of more than 150 square meters decreased by 4%, reaching 4,671 apartments compared to 4,875 apartments during the same period from 2025.
During the month of April in the past, sales of apartments with an area of more than 150 square meters increased by 19%, reaching 867 apartments compared to 730 apartments during April 2025.
Also, sales of apartments ranging between 120 and 150 square meters increased by 1%, reaching 1,330 apartments compared to 1,318 apartments during the same period of the previous year. While sales of apartments with an area of less than 120 square meters decreased by 8%, recording 817 apartments compared to 888 apartments during April 2025.
Regarding non-Jordanians owning apartments, the number of apartments sold to non-Jordanians during the first third of the current year was about 415 apartments, compared to 428 apartments during the same period from 2025, a decrease of 3%. The estimated value of non-Jordanians owning apartments during the first third of the current year was 34.2 million dinars, accounting for 61% of the estimated value of ownership transactions for non-Jordanians.
During the past month of April, the number of apartments sold to non-Jordanians was 99 apartments compared to 95 apartments during April 2025, an increase of 4%, while the estimated value of non-Jordanians owning apartments during April was 8.5 million dinars, compared to 9.1 million dinars during the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 6%.
