Khaberni - The Cairo Criminal Court has sentenced a hotel employee and a Brazilian female guest at the hotel to three years in prison, after convicting them of manufacturing a "hashish cake" and serving it to a Chinese girl as a type of joke.
The investigations revealed the details of this strange incident, where the Brazilian girl suggested to the Egyptian employee that they prepare a famous Brazilian dish known as "hashish cake," and asked him to buy a quantity of the hashish drug to add to the cake.
The employee purchased the drug and the Brazilian then prepared the cake inside the hotel kitchen, mixing the hashish with chocolate and cream ingredients. After finishing, she served the cake to her Chinese friend, also a guest at the same hotel.
According to the investigations, after the Chinese girl ate part of the cake, she felt severely ill and suffered disturbances, which required her immediate transfer to the hospital.
The medical examinations and analyses showed the presence of hashish in her body, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The public prosecution referred the suspects to the criminal court, which heard witnesses and technical and medical reports and ultimately decided to convict them and sentence them to three years of penal labor.
