Khaberni - A man searching for his lost shoe ended up, by mistake, inside a bison pen at the zoo in Munich, southern Germany, and afterwards found himself unable to leave the pen.
When the 23-year-old young man realized yesterday evening, Sunday, that he was stuck in a hopeless situation, he contacted emergency services and sheltered behind an electric fence while waiting for help, according to the police.
The police found the man inside the bison pen and managed to safely extract him with the cooperation of zoo workers.
According to police statements today, Monday, the incident began when the man accidentally threw his shoe over the fence and then tried to retrieve it.
The man sustained minor abrasions and a head injury during his unintended stay with the bison and was taken to the hospital for necessary treatment.
The police said that the operation went smoothly in regard to the bison, and the missing shoe was successfully found.
