Khaberni - The creator of the famous animated series "Masha and the Bear," Oleg Kuzovkov, is preparing to produce the first original full-length feature film based on these globally popular characters.
This development was expected given the huge success of the series; the popularity of "Masha and the Bear" on YouTube has exceeded expectations, and one of its episodes has become the most viewed non-musical video on the platform. The episode "Masha and the Bear: Recipe for Disaster" has garnered more than 4.6 billion views.
Press reports have mentioned that Oleg Kuzovkov is very excited to produce this film, and he has established an international studio specialized in producing this film and its future installments, coinciding with the launch of the film market at the Cannes Film Festival. The work on this full-length feature film is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
It is worth noting that audiences have previously seen titles for "Masha and the Bear" in cinemas; however, those experiences were not full-length feature films written specifically as one continuous story for the cinema, but were "compilation films" consisting of a collection of television episodes and short stories. Therefore, the 2028 project will be the first of its kind as a complete original cinematic film with integrated characters and events.
