Khaberni - Polish star Robert Lewandowski announced through his official accounts on social media platforms his decision to leave the ranks of the Spanish club Barcelona immediately at the end of the current season.
Lewandowski posted on his "Instagram" an emotional video documenting his finest memories and goals with the team's shirt, accompanied by a farewell message that said: "After 4 years filled with challenges and diligent work, the time has come to move forward. I leave with a feeling that the mission has been accomplished successfully: 4 seasons and 3 championships."
He added expressing his appreciation for the Catalan fans: "I will never forget the flood of emotions and the love that you have showered me with from my first day. Catalonia has been and still is my favorite place on earth."
The Polish star thanked everyone who supported him on his journey, saying: "I thank everyone I met during these beautiful four years, and I especially thank President Joan Laporta who gave me the opportunity to live the most exciting and astonishing chapter of my professional career."
Lewandowski concluded his message with enthusiastic words that affirmed his pride in the level the team has reached: "Barcelona has now returned to its rightful place it deserves. Long live Barcelona and long live Catalonia!"
The Polish star's contract with the Catalan club officially ends on June 30 of the upcoming year.
He participated in the current season with Barcelona in 44 matches, scoring 18 goals and providing 4 crucial assists, although he was mostly a substitute during much of the current season.
