Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, met on Saturday with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia, Kaja Kallas, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna.
Al-Safadi discussed with Kallas and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tsahkna the prospects of increasing cooperation in various fields including information technology, tourism, investment, cybersecurity, and defense industries, in addition to finding mechanisms that would foster broader opportunities for cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
The Estonian officials emphasized their commitment to developing relations with the Kingdom bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union.
Al-Safadi discussed with his Estonian counterpart Tsahkna the targeted efforts to end escalation in the Middle East and restore calm based on principles that ensure lasting security and stability.
Al-Safadi updated the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the serious deterioration in the occupied West Bank due to the illegitimate Israeli measures that undermine the two-state solution and all chances of achieving just and comprehensive peace.
He also discussed with him the situation in Gaza, which continues to face a humanitarian disaster due to Israel's insufficient allowance of aid into the sector, emphasizing the need to implement all clauses of the American President Donald Trump's plan regarding Gaza.
The discussions also addressed efforts to restore stability in Lebanon and the importance of supporting the Syrian government in the rebuilding process.
Al-Safadi appreciated Estonia's supportive stance for the two-state solution.
The ministers also discussed efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
During his visit, Al-Safadi met with Marko Mihkelson, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Estonian Parliament, in a meeting focused on ways to increase cooperation between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the Lennart Meri Conference in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, which addresses the foundations of resilience and crisis preparedness, Al-Safadi held talks with the Foreign Minister of the Philippines, Maria Teresa Lazaro, which covered bilateral relations and cooperation within international organizations, in addition to regional conditions.
On Sunday, Al-Safadi, in the presence of Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Tsahkna, will meet with representatives of the Estonian private sector in vital sectors to introduce them to the Jordanian investment environment, before departing to Lithuania on the third leg of his regional tour in the Baltic States, which began with a visit to Latvia.
