Lukaku Tops the Final List for the Belgium Squad for the 2026 World Cup

Khaberni - Romelu Lukaku, striker of the Italian team Napoli, heads the Belgian football team's list that will participate in the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Romelu Lukaku is scheduled to join goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and midfielders Kevin De Bruyne and Axel Witsel for their fourth World Cup appearance with the team nicknamed "the Red Devils".

Lukaku has seen limited playtime with Napoli this season, due to a series of injuries and lack of physical fitness, while Thibaut Courtois, the Real Madrid goalkeeper, also suffered several injuries.

The Belgian team's coach, Frenchman Rudi Garcia, excluded the young midfielder Nathan De Kat (17 years old) from the list, as well as Louis Openda, who often sits on the bench with the Italian team Juventus.

The list of the Belgian national team is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Senne Lammens, Mike Maignan.

Defense: Timothy Castagne, Zeno Debast, Maxim De Cuyper, Koni De Winter, Brandon Mechele, Thomas Meunier, Nathan N'Goy, Joachim Maehle, Arthur Theate.

Midfield: Kevin De Bruyne, Amadou Onana, Nicolas Raskin, Youri Tielemans, Hans Vanaken, Axel Witsel.

Forward: Charles De Ketelaere, Jérémy Doku, Matias Fernandez Pardo, Romelu Lukaku, Dodi Lukebakio, Diego Moriera, Alexis Saelemaekers, Leandro Trossard.

The Belgian team, which finished third at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, will start their journey in Group G at the 2026 World Cup with a match against their Egyptian counterpart on June 15, then faces Iran and New Zealand.
