Khaberni - As part of Amman Arab University's commitment to developing skills in preparing and writing scientific research according to modern academic standards among its students, the College of Pharmacy at the university organized a specialized workshop entitled "Mastering Scientific Writing Skills", presented by Dr. Lubna Gharaibeh, the Associate Dean of the College of Pharmacy, with several students from the college attending.
The workshop included a set of important axes aimed at developing participants' skills in the field of scientific research and academic writing. It covered the fundamentals of preparing a research paper according to accepted scientific standards, mechanisms for formulating a scientific abstract and research introduction in a professional academic manner, in addition to methodologies for presenting results, analyzing them rigorously, and discussing them scientifically. The workshop also focused on raising awareness about the ethics of scientific research, ways to avoid plagiarism, mechanisms for choosing appropriate prestigious scientific journals for publication, and discussed the most prominent challenges and common mistakes in scientific writing, proper academic documentation methods, and efficient ways to handle reviewers' and editors' comments, along with providing practical guidance to enhance the chances of research acceptance in indexed and classified global scientific journals.
The workshop witnessed notable interaction from participants through applied examples and enriching scientific discussions, which contributed to deepening their understanding of the fundamental principles of rigorous scientific writing, enhancing their effective academic communication skills, thereby supporting the quality of research outputs and elevating the professional and academic efficiency of researchers. At the end of the workshop, the participants expressed their appreciation for the rich scientific and practical content presented, affirming the importance of organizing such training workshops that contribute to enhancing the research culture, developing the skills of young researchers, and improving their efficiency in the fields of writing and scientific publishing, which positively reflects on the quality of their academic production and their research career.
