Khaberni - Within the framework of Amman Arab University's commitment to developing the educational process and enhancing the interactive academic environment, the College of Arts and Sciences/Basic Sciences Department hosted Dr. Ahmad Talafha, an academic expert, to give a specialized scientific lecture titled: "The Baghdadi Maqama" for students of the Literary Text Appreciation course and the Communication and Interaction Skills (2) in Arabic course, aimed at enriching the students' knowledge and linking theoretical aspects with practical applications in the Arabic language and its literature.
During the lecture, Dr. Talafha tackled the art of Maqama in Arabic literature, outlining its origins, artistic and rhetorical characteristics, alongside the most prominent figures in this literary genre and its impact on the development of Arabic literature through the ages. He also focused on the rhetorical techniques and the artistic structure that characterize the Arabic Maqamats. The lecture saw notable interaction from the students, who discussed a number of literary and linguistic issues related to the Maqama, thereby enhancing their critical and analytical skills and expanding their knowledge horizons.
This event is part of a series of academic activities carried out by the College of Arts and Sciences at Amman Arab University, aimed at attracting specialized scientific expertise, which positively reflects on the quality of the educational process and enriches the students' academic and cultural experiences.
