The Municipality Sets Up Sale and Slaughter Locations for Sacrificial Animals and Announces Acceptance of Electronic Application

Khaberni  - The Greater Amman Municipality announced that the acceptance of applications for the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals for the year 2026 will begin, which will be exclusively presented electronically, starting from the morning of the upcoming Thursday, May 14, until May 21.

The Municipality confirmed that the actual launch of the service will be at 10:00 AM, where interested parties, butchers, and livestock owners will be able to submit applications and make payments electronically through the official Greater Amman Municipality website, by accessing the electronic services, and selecting the sacrificial permits service window.

It clarified that the required documents to submit applications are a personal ID for individuals and a professional license for butchers.

It pointed out that the reception of applications will stop, and a lottery will be conducted electronically to distribute the barn locations to the applicants on May 21, and that electronic securities amounting to 500 dinars will be collected, which are refundable in case there are no violations.

The Municipality emphasized on giving priority in obtaining the barns to owners of related professional licenses (butchers).

The municipality also determined locations for selling and slaughtering sacrificial animals to prevent random sales and facilitate sterilization processes, reducing the occurrence of health nuisances at the sites.

The following locations are included:

 Basman and Al-Madina: Al-Nakhil Street parallel to Al-Jaish Street next to Um Ammar School

⁠Al-Nasr and Marka: The Ring Road near Al-Salihiya Bridge 

⁠Areas (Badr Nazzal, Zahran, Ras Al-Ain, Al-Abdali): Prince Hussein Street next to Tawfiq Tabbaa Roundabout 

 ⁠Tariq: Prince Faisal Street at the intersection with Prince Nayef Street (Al-Kassarat area)

Al-Qweismeh and Al-Yarmouk: The Ten Bridges Street (Al-Sha'a'er Street)

Kheribet Al-Souq and Al-Muqabaleen: Al-Waqar Street near Al-Rayyan Mosque

 ⁠Areas (Wadi Al-Seer, Badr Al-Jadida, Marj Al-Hamam): Al-Dhaher Neighborhood, Naltchik Demina Street

⁠Areas (Suwaylih, Tila Al Ali): Rafaa Ansari Street

⁠Areas (Shafa Badran, Al-Jubaiha, Abu Nseir): Diya' Allah Al-Hamoud Street opposite the security center in Shafa Badran near the old cemetery

In addition to the location of the Greater Amman Municipality slaughterhouse, and the Al-Madouna slaughterhouse (designated for slaughtering sacrificial animals only)

The Municipality confirmed that all the barns, exceeding 400 in number, will be under veterinary control by veterinary doctors
to monitor compliance with instructions and the application of health conditions.
