The Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission summoned Deputy Mustafa Al-Amawi yesterday morning, Tuesday, to listen to his statements based on claims he made that were shared by media and social networking sites about allegations of corruption practices committed by deputies with the knowledge or assistance of former governments and ministers.
A responsible source in the commission said that listening to his statements lasted for more than three hours to verify what he claimed, and that being in his position and role as a deputy in the parliament, he could have provided the commission or related entities with the necessary information.
The source added that the commission has given him until today, Wednesday, to submit the documents he referred to in his statement that he claims to have in his possession regarding those practices.
