Middle East Advanced ranking in a national hackathon that employs artificial intelligence to enhance civic participation

Khaberni - Middle East University, represented by the IT College team, achieved a qualitative accomplishment by obtaining the second place at the regional level of Central and North in a hackathon: "Youth, Technology, Participation", organized by the Independent Election Commission, with the aim of stimulating the use of technology and artificial intelligence in enhancing political and civic participation among youth.
This distinction came through the innovative project: OQD National Civil Intelligence Shemagh, presented by: Ahmed Mohammed Al Kalloub, Mahmoud Ahmed Al Khawaldeh, Anas Hassan Dahak, Rahaf Al Jabali, and Dana Mohammed Hafnawi.
The project, supervised by Dr. Maria Youssef, relied on advanced digital engineering that leverages artificial intelligence capabilities and large language models to build a smart platform that focuses on evaluating community initiatives and analyzing their feasibility and expected impact, in addition to simplifying legal frameworks and transforming them into interactive content that is more attuned to the young people's awareness and interests.
