Khaberni - The headquarters of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation, Middle East University, hosted the five-a-side football championship for female students over 5 consecutive days, organized by the federation, with the participation of 15 public and private universities from various provinces of the kingdom.
The championship concluded with Al-Balqa Applied University winning the title, while the Jordan University of Science and Technology came in second place, and both the University of Jordan and Yarmouk University shared the third place.
At the end of the competitions, the university president, Professor Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, awarded the medals and trophies to the teams and the winning students, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Ali Al-Nasour, and the Dean of Student Affairs at Al-Balqa Applied University, Dr. Khalaf Al-Khataibna, among other specialists and representatives of the universities.
The university emphasized that the championship fostered the concepts of fair competition and team discipline, reflecting the development of the technical infrastructure of Jordanian university sports, in addition to the growing presence of women's sports within the academic environment, as a supportive pathway for empowerment and active participation.
