Arrest of an Egyptian Businessman Fleeing from 700 Years in Prison

Khaberni - The Egyptian security forces arrested the Egyptian businessman and famous pharmacist, Ibrahim Fouda, owner of the Fouda pharmacy chain, which is one of the most famous pharmacy chains in the country.

Informed security sources revealed that the accused businessman has been issued with 278 various judicial sentences, totaling approximately 700 years of imprisonment.

The sources explained that the accused was taken to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures, in preparation for presenting him to the investigative authorities and completing the execution of the sentences issued against him.

This businessman had been wanted for a long period and the security forces in Giza intensified their efforts recently to apprehend him and bring him to justice, as he exploited his fame and ownership of the famous Fouda pharmacy chain in defrauding many victims, by taking their money under the pretext of investing it and achieving high financial returns.

The accused, a doctor and pharmacist, built the Fouda pharmacy chain to become one of the known chains in the Egyptian market before facing numerous financial cases and issuing checks without balance.

The arrest of the accused is part of the intensive campaigns by the Ministry of Interior to apprehend fugitives and implement the judicial verdicts issued against them, especially in financial and fraud cases.
