Khaberni - The Syrian internal security units, in cooperation with the Anti-Terrorism Administration, succeeded through a swift security operation in arresting Major Criminal Wajih Ali Al-Abdullah, who served for thirteen years as director of the military affairs office for the fugitive criminal Bashar Al-Assad.
The aforementioned was a major pillar of the inner circle of the defunct regime, directly responsible for coordinating repressive practices and severe violations affecting Syrian civilians throughout his tenure at the Presidential Palace.
The investigation records revealed that the mentioned started his duties in the military affairs office since 2005 and continued until 2018, a period which was the bloodiest in the country's history.
The arrest operation is part of a series of measures aimed at pursuing senior officers responsible for crimes against humanity during the era of the defunct regime, as a precursor to bringing them to a fair trial.
