Khaberni - Issued in the Official Gazette, Regulation No. (18) for the year 2026, an amended regulation for the salaries and allowances of public security personnel, pursuant to Article (31) of the Constitution, and based on the decision of the Council of Ministers dated April 26, 2026.
The regulation stipulates that it shall be effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, and should be read together with the original Regulation No. (10) of 1966 and its amendments as a single legislative unit.
The regulation includes the repeal of paragraph (a) of Article (16) from the original regulation, and replaces it with a new text that regulates the mechanism for granting bonuses to public security personnel upon retirement after actual service of more than 20 years.
According to the amendment, an officer is entitled to a bonus equal to three total salaries and half a total salary for each year after the twentieth year of service up to the twenty-fifth year, while a bonus equivalent to three total salaries per year after the twenty-fifth year of service is granted, without prejudice to any financial rights established by other legislation.
