Khaberni - Dr. Hossam Al-Harahsheh achieved a new feat by winning a seat in the South Acton municipal council in London for the Green Party, during the local elections held yesterday in Britain, amidst competitive atmosphere and broad participation from members of the Arab communities and the local society.
The victory of Dr. Al-Harahsheh in the council – which is considered a historical stronghold for the Labour Party – came after an election campaign that focused on enhancing community communication, supporting education and youth issues, and working on improving local services to benefit all segments of the local community.
This achievement reflects the presence and the effective contribution capability of Jordanian and Arab competencies in the political and societal life in Britain.
Dr. Al-Harahsheh expressed thanks to everyone who supported him during the election campaign, emphasizing that the coming phase will witness serious work to serve the residents and enhance the values of cooperation, openness, and diversity within the British society.
