Khaberni - Brigadier General Dr. Saed Al-Qatawneh confirmed that the General Security Directorate has completed the preparation of this year's Hajj plan, within an integrated system that includes various units of public security and relevant agencies, aiming to ensure the safe, easy, and secure arrival of pilgrims to the holy lands and to provide the necessary facilities for them from the moment the convoys depart until their return to their homeland.
Brigadier General Al-Qatawneh explained that the plan includes a security deployment along the routes that the pilgrim convoys will take to the border crossings, with the participation of regional leaders and police directorates and external patrols, to ensure the smooth movement and provision of services and facilities to the pilgrims during their journey.
He pointed out that the plan is not limited to Jordanian pilgrims only but also includes receiving pilgrims from neighboring countries. He noted that the kingdom welcomed the first convoys of Egyptian pilgrims last Tuesday, coming through the Nuweiba port, where their arrival was secured and the procedures for their passage through the Al-Mudawara border center towards Saudi Arabian territory were facilitated.
He added that the plan also encompasses the pilgrims from the Palestinian Authority and Arabs of the 48, coming through the King Hussein Bridge, where the necessary security escorts are provided for them and their transfer to the border centers is secured, whether departing by land or air.
Brigadier General Dr. Saed Al-Qatawneh indicated that the border centers have prepared operational plans coordinated with the partners working in them from customs, health, and security agencies, aiming to facilitate the movement of travelers and expedite procedures by enhancing staff, opening additional lanes, and providing necessary logistical requirements.
He affirmed that the return phase of the pilgrims receives significant attention in the plan, due to the simultaneous return of large numbers of pilgrims at close times, necessitating the enhancement of readiness, staff, and procedures to ensure their safe return.
Al-Qatawneh urged the pilgrims to ensure in advance that there are no legal claims against them or the buses transporting them, so as not to pose an obstacle to completing their journey, highlighting the importance of pilgrimage companies and transporters conducting the necessary checks before departure.
He also emphasized the importance of pilgrims adhering to the instructions and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Religious Endowments and the Hajj missions, ensuring the validity of official documents such as passports and visas, getting the required vaccinations, and familiarizing themselves with the instructions of the Saudi authorities regarding the medications allowed, to ensure the performance of rituals smoothly and without any impediments.
