Khaberni - The Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army continues to perform its operational and security duties on various border fronts with efficiency and effectiveness, in the context of the security challenges and rapid changes the region is experiencing, as part of its ongoing efforts to counter infiltration and smuggling attempts, and to maintain the security and stability of the kingdom.
The field reports showed that military zones, with all their formations and units, dealt last year with (536) infiltration and smuggling attempts, all of which were completely thwarted. A total of (18,938,266) pills of various drugs were seized, along with (251) kg of drug materials including Hydro, Captagon, and Crystal, in addition to seizing (14,471) kilograms of hashish, downing (89) drones, and seizing (168) pieces of light arms.
In the first quarter of this year, the Armed Forces thwarted a total of (156) infiltration and smuggling attempts, during which they seized (9,202,872) Captagon pills, and (10,464) kg of drug materials including Hydro and Crystal, along with seizing (1,310) kilograms of hashish, downing (26) drones, and seizing (32) pieces of light arms.
These figures highlight the magnitude of the challenges faced by the Armed Forces on the border fronts, amid escalating smuggling and infiltration attempts and the evolution of methods used therein, including the use of drones and modern technological means employed by organized smuggling networks.
On the regional level, the Jordanian Armed Forces operate according to an advanced and highly accurate methodology that identifies the starting points of regional weapons and drug smuggling networks from their various locations, and they are fully prepared to neutralize them in the preparation stage before reaching the execution stage represented by the smuggling attempt across Jordanian borders.
On the other hand, the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to develop their operational, technical, and technological capabilities, and enhance surveillance, control, and reconnaissance systems, ensuring rapid response and high precision in dealing with various threats, thus achieving the highest levels of readiness to protect the kingdom's borders and maintain its national security.
These efforts reflect the advanced level of efficiency and professionalism possessed by the ranks of the Armed Forces, and their ability to perform their duties under various conditions and terrains, with the highest degrees of coordination and readiness, which contributed to thwarting attempts targeting the security and stability of the nation.
