Palestinian Prisoners Club More than 9400 detainees held by the occupation until the beginning of May

Khaberni - The Palestinian Prisoner's Club announced, on Thursday, based on data issued by prisoners' institutions and what was announced by the Israeli Occupation Prison Administration up to the beginning of this May, that the number of prisoners and detainees in occupation jails has reached more than 9400 prisoners and detainees.

The Prisoner’s Club explained that among the detainees are 87 female prisoners, while the number of children detainees amounts to about 360 children, held by the occupation in Majdo and Ofer prisons.

It noted that the number of administrative detainees reached 3376, while the number classified by the occupation as "unlawful combatants" reached 1283 detainees.

The Prisoner’s Club pointed out that this number does not include all detainees from Gaza held in military camps belonging to the occupation army and classified in the same category, indicating that this classification also includes Arab detainees from Lebanon and Syria.

These data are based on information from prisoners’ institutions, which are the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club, and the Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights and Prisoner Care.
