Khaberni - More than 2.6 million citizens have activated their digital identity through the Sanad app, while more than 600,000 new users have joined since the beginning of 2026, following the latest updates that have made the app's user experience easier, faster, and more efficient, according to a post by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
The ministry, through the (X) platform, stated that among the services that contributed to the increased popularity of the app are the ability to activate the digital identity autonomously without the need to visit Sanad stations, the option to change the phone number and reset the password electronically, and the access to documents even without internet using fingerprint.
It added that the app provides digital signature and digital payment services, alongside improvements on services related to electronic passports and vehicle renewals.
The ministry mentioned that this is part of the efforts towards digital transformation, under the directives of Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and supervision from the National Council for Future Technology, to offer a modern and secure digital government experience to the citizens.
