Khaberni - Israel, in coordination with the UN, introduced rodenticides and pest control equipment into Gaza following an outbreak of rats and rodents in refugee tents.
The Israeli Army Radio announced today, Thursday, that the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, in coordination with the United Nations, has introduced hundreds of parcels of rodenticides and equipment for the control of rats and rodents into Gaza, in addition to about 20 tons of pest control equipment. This step came after a noticeable outbreak of rats and rodents in the sector's tents in the past few days.
The Israeli Ministry of Agriculture clarified that the total amount of equipment and pesticides introduced into Gaza in recent weeks amounted to about 110 tons.
The Ministry confirmed that all these pesticides are not dual-use materials, meaning they cannot be employed for military purposes.
