Khaberni - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said on Thursday that the crisis of the lack of lists of medicines, medical consumables, and laboratory examination materials is still worsening at its zero rates.
The ministry stated in a statement that 47% of essential medicines, 59% of medical consumables, and 87% of laboratory examination materials have zero balance in the sector.
It added that medicines for cancer services, blood diseases, primary care, kidney services and hemodialysis, and psychiatric medicines are among the services most affected by the crisis.
It noted that medical consumables necessary for eye surgeries, cardiac catheterization, and kidney dialysis are among the items that are exacerbating the zero balances.
It explained that the lack of laboratory examination materials necessary for CBC tests, blood gas analysis, clinical chemistry, and laboratory consumables threaten the conduct of laboratory examinations for patients.
It emphasized that the continuation of the zero indicators of the crisis increases the undermining of the efforts of the medical staff and increases the suffering of patients and the accumulation of medical complications.
