Khaberni - Spanish press reports revealed that Portuguese coach José Mourinho has set a series of strict conditions for his return to coaching Real Madrid, should the club's management decide to contract him in the coming period.
According to the Spanish newspaper ESdiario, Mourinho demands a two-year contract with full authority over team building and player selection, in addition to restructuring a number of technical and medical files within the club.
He also demands full control over the signing process and defining the list of outgoing players, and the dismissal of several players who do not fit into his technical project (7 players), in addition to working with his current technical staff coming from Benfica, and agreeing to keep coach Álvaro Arbeloa within the technical staff.
He demands the departure of fitness coach Antonio Pintus due to recurring injuries in the team, reducing commercial summer tours in the United States and Asia, and relying on an independent medical opinion on player injury issues.
Lastly, club president Florentino Perez must be the only point of contact with him within the club.
The report indicated that the Real Madrid management is currently reviewing the demands, with a final response expected within days, amidst internal division within the club regarding the extent to which Mourinho can be granted these extensive powers.
The potential return of the Portuguese coach is seen as a step that could restore strong personality and discipline to the team's dressing room, especially in light of the crises experienced by the club this season.
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, achieving the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup, before leaving the club amid tense circumstances at the time.
The Portuguese coach currently manages Benfica, having signed his contract with the club in September 2025, while Real Madrid is going through a turbulent phase following a disappointing season in terms of results and titles.
