Khaberni - The Arab art community is in a state of great sadness over the departure of the Egyptian singer Hani Shaker, after a struggle that lasted for weeks with the disease.
A large number of art stars from Egypt and the Arab world participated in the funeral procession of Hani Shaker to his final resting place on Wednesday afternoon.
Egyptian media personality Lamis Elhadidi, in a post on her Facebook account, narrated the behind-the-scenes of what happened at Hani Shaker's funeral, and the details of the last moments of his life, during his stay at the hospital in France.
At the beginning of her post, Lamis Elhadidi wrote the prayer recited by the Egyptian Sheikh Khaled Al-Gendy during the funeral prayer for the late Hani Shaker, indicating that tears overwhelmed all attendees.
The Egyptian media personality spoke about Nahla Tawfik, the late singer's wife, confirming that she lost almost half her weight during this ordeal, and was only saying one phrase, "Hani is gone", while her tears never stopped.
Lamis Elhadidi explained that Hani Shaker "was not just an ordinary husband", but everyone considered him and his wife as "conjoined twins", as the latter accompanied him to his concerts, recording his songs, and filming his programs, hence her grief for him was intense.
The media personality described what happened at the gravesite as "the hardest moment" as everyone's tears poured out in farewell to Hani Shaker.
She added that Hisham Abbas began reciting the names of Allah, while Sherif, the late singer's son, took charge of burying his father's body, to rest next to his daughter Dina, joining her after 15 years of separation.
In conclusion, Lamis Elhadidi touched on the last moments of the late singer's life while he was in France. She emphasized that "the endings have their signs", where the last moments of Hani Shaker's consciousness had many indications, after he performed the Fajr prayer while on his sickbed, accompanied by his late daughter's husband, Mamdouh Mamoun, who was staying with him that night. After the duo performed the Fajr prayer, Hani Shaker recited some praise, before he suffered a sudden collapse in lung and breathing function, after which he fell into a coma.
