Khaberni - During a meeting held at the ministry's headquarters, Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin discussed with officials from Huawei, ways to integrate modern technology into the transport sector, in the presence of a number of engineers and technical staff specialized in the ministry.
The minister emphasized the importance of adopting smart transport solutions and transitioning to digital systems across various transport modes to enhance operational efficiency and improve the quality of services provided, insisting on the necessity to keep pace with global developments in this field, especially in light of executing major developmental projects observed in the sector.
He noted that the upcoming phase requires a greater reliance on modern technologies in managing and organizing transport and traffic operations, which enhances fluidity and reduces operational challenges, pointing to the importance of employing innovation in supporting the transport system in all its fields.
On their part, company officials presented a report on the latest solutions they are developing in the fields of smart and digital transport, including traffic management systems and technologies associated with smart transport infrastructure, as well as data analysis solutions and enhancements to operational efficiency.
During the meeting, prospects for joint cooperation in implementing these solutions were discussed, in a way that matches the needs of the transport sector, and supports the orientation towards building a modern transport system that relies on technology, contributing to improving the user experience and enhancing the efficiency of logistical services.
