Khaberni - A 15-year-old boy survived a serious accident after being electrocuted and falling from a great height in the state of Virginia, USA.
The incident dates back to the first of May, when the teenager climbed a high-voltage electric pole about 60 feet tall in the city of Suffolk, before touching one of the electrified wires, which led to his electrocution and fall onto a grassy area where a fire broke out due to the accident.
The fire and rescue teams received a report of smoke in an area near Delaware Street, where they found the boy with severe burns, and he was immediately transported to a specialized center for treatment, amid precautionary measures that included temporarily closing nearby railway lines.
The authorities confirmed that the condition of the injured is stable despite the severity of his exposure, while investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the accident.
Chris Cornwell, the fire battalion chief in Suffolk, said that the boy was close to losing his life, noting that his survival is considered rare given his exposure to an electrical shock and falling from this height.
