Khaberni - The Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, presided over the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Reform and Rehabilitation on Wednesday, in the presence of the Director of Public Security, Major General Ubaidallah Al-Maaytah, and the Secretaries-General of the ministries represented in the committee's membership, in addition to a number of relevant officials.
Al-Faraya emphasized the importance of this meeting to achieve coordination among the relevant agencies to provide the necessary capabilities to implement the plans for reform and rehabilitation, and to follow up on the execution of the general policy for the treatment, reform, and rehabilitation of inmates under appropriate conditions.
The committee discussed all matters related to the reform and rehabilitation centers and the future plans needed to develop these centers, and to follow up on improving the work environment in them, in accordance with national and international standards and requirements.
The Director of the Reform and Rehabilitation Centers Management in the General Directorate of Public Security presented a briefing on the current situation and conditions of the centers, and the appropriate methods to handle the existing challenges.
