Khaberni - Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan chaired, on Wednesday, the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Jordanian Academy for Governmental Management, which was legally established as a successor to the Public Administration Institute.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that establishing the Academy aimed to significantly elevate the training and qualification of public sector employees at all levels, highlighting the importance of linking the Academy’s programs with the actual needs of government institutions, public policy priorities, and national priorities, to ensure tangible impact.
He pointed to the necessity of starting the implementation of a comprehensive and sustainable institutional system for capacity building and qualification of staff and the preparation of governmental leadership and promoting innovation, in line with the best global practices; to serve as a lever for government work and improving the efficiency and quality of services.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of focusing on digital transformation programs, artificial intelligence, and the digitalization of services, ensuring a significant impact on the speed of achievement, efficiency, and ease of procedures, as well as public satisfaction with the services.
The Minister of State for Public Sector Development/Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees, Badriya Al-Bilbisi, presented the general framework for the Academy's work for the current and coming year, which includes the execution of a series of quality programs and activities in the field of governmental management.
The meeting discussed the strategic framework for the Academy’s operation, its proposed organizational structure, and the implementation plan for the upcoming six months.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Government Communication, Mohammad Al-Momani, and the President of the Academy, Dr. Mustafa Al-Hamarneh.
