Khaberni - The General Union of Air Transport and Tourism Workers and the Airport Group Company signed at the Ministry of Labor, today, Wednesday, a collective employment contract to improve the job benefits for 470 male and female workers in the company.
According to the ministry's statement, Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, while sponsoring the signature event, stated that the ministry is keen on monitoring the affairs of private sector workers and communicating with parties involved in the production process to help resolve collective labor disputes.
He emphasized that the ministry works on supervising the settlement of labor disputes and contributing to enhancing job stability and security for workers in private sector institutions, ensuring continuous operations of these institutions through building good labor relations between the three production parties (government, employers, workers) and providing a positive working environment in institutions, and overseeing collective employment contracts in institutions to serve the interests of both parties.
Al-Bakkar noted that the ministry encourages direct negotiations and cooperation between employers and unions, which positively reflects on the work environment and the job stability of workers, and on all economic and social aspects, enhancing workers' confidence in their institutions and management and leading to further work and achievement.
The contract signing was attended by the Secretary-General of the ministry, Dr. Abd Halim Doujan, Union President Youssef Quanab, the company's CEOs Nikola DeVillier, the financial executive Hani Ghanem, and the director of the Work Relations Directorate at the ministry, Adnan Al-Dahamsheh.
In turn, Quanab emphasized that improving job benefits and the working environment for company employees significantly contributes to increasing their productivity, which positively reflects on the company, praising the cooperation of the company management and their responsiveness to union demands and the supervision of the Ministry of Labor on managing the dialogue between both sides.
For his part, DeVillier stated that the signing of the collective contract is a result of cooperation between the union and the company's management with efforts from the Ministry of Labor, which positively reflects on the workers in the companies due to the improvement of the job benefits for the employees, affirming the company management's appreciation for the workers and their role as they are essential to the production process.
