Khaberni - At the invitation of the Chairman of the Central Council, Captain Mohammad Al-Khashman, a meeting of the Central Council of the Jordanian National Union Party was held, attended by council members and party leaders. The meeting focused on discussing a number of organizational and political issues of significant importance at both party and national levels.
The meeting began with a speech by the Chairman of the Central Council, His Excellency Mohammad Al-Khashman, in which he addressed the key pivotal issues facing the party, in addition to the most important initiatives, actions, and arrangements that the party aims to implement in the coming period, to enhance its political presence and role in public life.
The meeting featured an in-depth discussion of upcoming constitutional entitlements, foremost among them municipal elections, in addition to addressing the Local Administration Law, and issues of unions and universities, where mechanisms for the party's handling of these files within a clear vision based on effectiveness and enhancing participation were discussed.
Furthermore, ways to develop the work of party committees were explored, through reorganizing them and activating their roles, and delegating tasks to the most competent members, reflecting positively on the party’s overall performance.
In the same context, the General Secretary reviewed the achievements of the General Secretariat during the past period, while the head of the Political Office presented an overview of the Political Office’s work program and its priorities for the upcoming phase, and the party deputies discussed the latest developments in the House of Representatives.
The meeting included a thorough discussion by the council members, addressing the major issues facing political and party work, in addition to developments on the Jordanian scene, within a framework of responsibility and objective presentation.
At the end of the meeting, a set of initiatives to celebrate Independence Day were approved, affirming national commitment and enhancing the values of belonging. It was also agreed upon the importance of setting a date for convening the general conference of the party during the upcoming period, to continue the organizational work and to establish a more institutionalized approach.
