Khaberni - A Spanish journalist has dropped a bombshell, revealing a recent new fight between two Real Madrid players.
Journalist Miguel Serrano confirmed during an appearance on the Spanish radio station "Onda Cero" that the Real Madrid locker room witnessed a "high-tension" incident, involving a physical altercation between Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Carreras.
Rudiger Assaults His Teammate
The incident took place at Real Madrid's sports city in Valdebebas about two weeks ago, specifically during the period between the team's matches against Deportivo Alaves and Real Betis on April 21 and 24, respectively.
The incident started with a verbal dispute that ended with Rudiger slapping Carreras, according to Serrano, who emphasized that the conflict between the players did not escalate further.
The role of Carreras has notably declined after the match of Real Madrid and its host Real Betis, which was his last as a starter, raising real concerns within the club not because of the incident, but because of its ramifications, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".
The newspaper believes that this incident clearly reveals the extent of the internal tensions in the locker room of the white team, saying "The problems at Real Madrid do not stop. As if the critical sports situation was not enough, internal tensions have started to surface publicly just days before ending a second season without titles."
Despite the club's silence, this incident aligns with the image of a team facing the end of the season amid a storm, as described by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo".
In turn, the British site "The Athletic" referred to the incident, confirming its occurrence between Rudiger and one of the team players without naming him, and noting that the German defender apologized for his behavior inside the locker room and invited the team and their families to a meal.
Rudiger's Crises
This controversial incident is not the first for Rudiger; in March, the German intervened excessively against Diego Rico of Getafe during their teams' match in the 26th round of the current La Liga season, which sparked a major outrage in both Spanish and German media.
At the end of the last season, Rudiger faced a suspension for several matches after being caught by television cameras throwing a piece of ice at Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, the referee of the Copa del Rey final between Barcelona and Real Madrid, in protest against a foul called against his teammate Kylian Mbappe in the final seconds.
This latest incident constitutes a new crisis hitting Real Madrid this season, including the anger of Spanish players Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, and Raul Asensio against the current coach Alvaro Arbeloa, due to their marginalization and preference for younger players.
Moreover, other news has spread about a crisis involving the French Kylian Mbappe and the dissatisfaction of his teammates with his performance on the field and his behavior off it.
