The College of Nursing at AlZaytoonah University organizes an advanced course in electrocardiogram analysis for masters studen

Khaberni  -  The College of Nursing at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a training course for master's students titled "Advanced Electrocardiogram Analysis", aimed at enhancing academic and professional awareness, and developing skills in critical thinking and clinical decision-making in various medical conditions.

The course was delivered by Dr. Ali Al-Qarna from the College of Nursing, with the participation of several master's students. He emphasized that the main goal of the course is to enhance the students' skills and enable them to master the techniques of electrocardiogram analysis, which will contribute to enhancing their ability to provide specialized and effective nursing care.

The course, which lasted for six hours, covered a number of key topics in advanced electrocardiography, including: explaining the basic principles of electrocardiography, analyzing a 12-lead ECG by identifying and measuring the main components, recognizing and classifying atrial rhythm disorders, in addition to ventricular rhythm disorders, recognizing signs indicating myocardial ischemia and infarction, and locating the infarction based on the leads showing characteristic changes.

At the end of the course, the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Raz, emphasized the importance of providing nurses with advanced specialized skills, as this plays a role in preparing them to work efficiently in the nursing field, particularly in emergency specialties, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market, and enabling them to play a leading role in the future of nursing care.
