United States Executes Operation Freedom Today

Khaberni - "Operation Freedom" launches on Monday morning, announced by President Donald Trump, aiming to assist ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz to safely exit.

President Donald Trump stated that countries from around the world, most of which are not involved in the conflict in the Middle East, have asked the United States for help in freeing their ships, describing these nations as "neutral parties."

He added, in a post on the “Truth Social” platform, that Washington will guide the ships to safely exit the waterways, allowing them to resume their activities.

He clarified that these ships belong to countries "not linked" to the ongoing events in the region, mentioning that he has directed his representatives to ensure the safe exit of the ships and their crews.

He confirmed that these countries have informed the United States that they will not return to the region before it becomes safe for navigation.

Axios attributed to US officials that the new initiative regarding the Strait of Hormuz will not necessarily include US Navy ships escorting commercial vessels.

One official added that US Navy ships would be "in the vicinity" to intervene if necessary to prevent the Iranian military from targeting commercial ships passing through the strait.

The officials explained that the US Navy will provide commercial ships with information about the best sea routes inside the strait, particularly those that are not believed to have been mined by the Iranian army.

In a related context, Trump mentioned "very positive discussions" with Iran, considering that they may lead to positive outcomes.

He described the operation as a "humanitarian gesture," pointing out that several ships are suffering from a shortage of food and supplies.

He warned that any obstruction of the operation "will be dealt with firmly."
