Knesset Deputy Speaker No security for Israel without occupation displacement and settlement in Gaza

Khaberni - Limor Son Har Melech, Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) called for the displacement of Gaza Strip residents and the establishment of Israeli settlements there, during a field tour she conducted today, Sunday, along the borders of the Gaza Strip.

In a video she posted on her account today, Sunday, on the platform "X", she said, "There is no security for Israel except through occupation, displacement, and settlement," a stance that reflects the extreme right-wing deputy's harsh statements towards Palestinians.

In the course of her speech, she added, "I have reached a tour in the Gaza envelope (...) Unfortunately, Israel is still captive to a wrong idea. There is no escape from occupation, displacement, and settlement. Any other solution is not feasible and will lead to another massacre."

Her statements come at a time when medical sources confirmed the martyrdom of Palestinians, one of them a child, today, Sunday, in scattered Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, as part of the daily breaches of the ceasefire agreement in force since October 10, 2025.

Rooting the settlement
In a stance aiming to reshape the geographical reality in the Gaza Strip, she said, "I looked at the Netzarim corridor, which separates Gaza City from the central camps, and there is no escape from fully controlling it and creating settler continuity to enhance security."

Limor Son Har Melech spoke in her tour near Gaza's borders with settlers, assuring them that establishing settlements along the Gaza Strip is "the only way to ensure the security of Israel and the residents of the Gaza envelope."

She continued, "We are going through a difficult and complex process," confirming that "there is no solution other than full control over the sector," calling for the expulsion and displacement of residents who "seek to return to fighting."

Limor Son Har Melech is one of the most prominent political figures in the radical nationalist right in Israel, known for her positions against the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

She had proposed a bill imposing the death penalty by hanging for Palestinians convicted of killing Israelis. The Knesset passed this law on March 30, 2026.
